What are cookies?

A cookie is a small piece of text a website asks your browser to store on your computer or mobile device. They are mostly used to help websites work more efficiently and also to give a website owner information about the use of their website and the visitors to it.

Session Cookies.
A session cookie lasts only while you are browsing a website and is removed when you close the website. We use session cookies for our online shop to keep a note of what you add to your shopping cart so it is there when you check out.

Persistent Cookies.
A persistent cookie remains in your browser for a predefined amount of time after you have closed the website. We use persistent cookies to gather anonymous information about you and the pages you visit on this website. Knowing which products and pages our visitors look at helps us to continually improve our product range and to promote our online shop. Most of the persistent cookies we use will stay in your browser from between 30 minutes to up to 2 years, unless you clear your browser cookies before then.

Both Session and Persistent cookies can be either set by a 'First Person' or a 'Third Person'. We'll explain that now.

First Person Cookies

First Person Cookies are set by us and the shopping platform we use, Shopify. They are essential for our online shop to work. We also set cookies to analyse our website use. You cannot disable these cookies from within our website but you can block or be alerted of all cookies by your browser. However, disabling some of these types of cookies will stop our online shop from working. We will tell you how to block cookies in your browser at the bottom of this page.

Third Party Cookies

Third Party cookies are set by someone else, often on websites where the website owner has sold space for third parties to advertise on their site. We don't use third party cookies.
